What you get
What it does for your shop.
No print box
F11 saves the bill and prints it straight to the printer.
58 or 80 mm
Any ESC/POS thermal printer — USB shared in Windows, or on the network.
The drawer on cash
A drawer on the printer's DK port opens on cash payments.
Your shop's name in your language
The shop's name, address and thank-you line print in Gujarati or Hindi, as a picture.
Billing never stops
Without the bridge, bills print through the browser's print box instead.
Before you start
What to have ready.
Driver installed, printer shared, drawer plugged in.
Getting ready
Use a Windows PC with Chrome or Edge. Install the printer's Windows driver (or “Generic / Text Only”) and print one Windows test page.
Share a USB printer in Windows: open the printer's properties, then Sharing, and share it. For a network printer, note its IP address from its self-test slip.
Plug the cash drawer's cable into the printer's DK port.
Do the rest on the counter PC itself: the Counter PC page talks to the PC you are sitting at.
- A Windows PC with Chrome or Edge at the counter
- A 58 or 80 mm thermal printer (ESC/POS) installed in Windows
- For a USB printer: the printer shared in Windows
- A cash drawer plugged into the printer's DK port (optional)
- The owner or a store manager, to install it
Switch it on
Switch it on, step by step.
Installer, pairing, printer, paper and drawer.
On the counter PC, open the back office → Settings → Counter PC. It says “no bridge running”.
Press “Copy the install command”, open PowerShell (Start → type PowerShell), paste and press Enter — no administrator rights needed. Or press “download the installer” and double-click it; if Windows blocks it (Smart App Control), use the pasted command.
Wait for “Bridge v… is running on this PC.” It pairs itself to your shop, starts with Windows, and puts Vasah Counter and Vasah Back office shortcuts on the desktop. Restart the browser.
Back on Counter PC, under “Receipt printer & drawer”, choose the Connection and the printer, the Paper (80 mm or 58 mm), and tick “Cash drawer on the printer's DK port”.
Press “Save printer settings”. It should say “Printer settings saved — the printer answers”.
Test it
Check it really works.
Print test page, open the drawer, bill once.
Press “Print test page”. The ruler line must fit the paper exactly, and the drawer opens.
Press “Test the drawer” to try the drawer on its own — the audit log notes who tested it.
That button is for setting up. To open the drawer without a sale in the day's work, the counter has Alt+O: a reason, and a manager's PIN. Alt+O
At the counter the printer pill says “Printer ready”. Make a cash bill and press F11 — the receipt comes out in under two seconds, with no print box. F11
When something goes wrong
What VASAH tells you, and what to do.
No bridge, not paired, paper out, update available.
The counter says “No bridge” and bills print through the browser's print box — billing never stops. On that PC open Settings → Counter PC; if it says “no bridge running”, run the installer again.
Installed but still “No bridge”: open 127.0.0.1:17777/status in the browser. If it answers, allow local network access for this site in the browser's site settings, or restart the browser; if not, run the installer again.
“Not paired”: press “Pair with this shop”. “Paired to a different address”: run the installer from this page again.
The counter shows “Paper out” or “Check printer”: load paper or fix the printer, then click it. “… not printed”: click it to print those slips again.
“Saved, but the printer does not answer yet: …”: wrong printer, share or IP — choose again. Garbled print: wrong Paper width, or the printer is not ESC/POS.
“update available: v…”: press “Download the installer” on this page and run it; your settings are kept.
Good to know
What it does not do.
- The bridge runs on Windows, with Chrome or Edge. Install it on each counter PC.
- Thermal printers have no Gujarati or Hindi letters: item lines print in English letters, and ₹ prints as Rs.
- The printer must speak ESC/POS, and a USB printer must be shared in Windows to be listed.
