Selling on Meesho, by hand

By hand

Sell on Meesho without selling twice.

Meesho works by hand: record each order in VASAH as it arrives — its pieces are held at once — and after sales, download the stock sheet and upload it on Meesho.

What you get

What it does for your shop.

  • Orders held at once

Record a Meesho order and its pieces are held, so the counter cannot sell them.

  • The stock sheet

Stock to update lists every item whose quantity on Meesho should change. Download it, upload it on Meesho, mark it updated.

  • GST done right

Sales carry Meesho's invoice number and GSTIN, and show separately for GSTR-1 Table 14.

  • Payouts reconciled

Record each payout and split what Meesho kept until it adds up.

Before you start

What to have ready.

Seller registration, the marketplace's GSTIN, listings.

Getting ready

  1. Register as a seller on the marketplace and list your designs there.

  2. Find the marketplace's GSTIN for your state in its seller dashboard — it is needed for GSTR-1 Table 14.

  3. Decide which location ships the orders, and how many pieces of each item to keep back for the counter (the buffer).

  4. Live sync is for Flipkart and Amazon only. Flipkart: apply for self-access under developer access in its seller dashboard. Amazon: make a private developer app in its Solution Provider Portal and authorise it for your own seller account. Meesho and Myntra work by hand.

  • A seller account on the marketplace (GSTIN, PAN, bank, pickup address)
  • The marketplace's GSTIN for your state, from its seller dashboard
  • Your designs listed there, with their SKUs
  • For live sync: API access from Flipkart or Amazon

Switch it on

Switch it on, step by step.

In the back officeSettings → Marketplaces → MeeshoWho can do it: owner, store manager
  1. Open Settings → Marketplaces. On the marketplace's card set Selling to “Manual — record orders here”, choose Ships from, Buffer (pieces) and the marketplace GSTIN, and press Save.

  2. Link your listings: in Marketplaces → Listings, use “List designs” by design code, or “Import SKU map” with your marketplace SKUs.

Test it

Check it really works.

  1. Record the first Meesho order: Marketplaces → Orders → Record an order. Its pieces are held at once.

  2. When you ship it, open the order, type the marketplace's invoice number and press “Mark dispatched”.

  3. Selling by hand: after sales, open Marketplaces → Stock to update, press “Download sheet”, upload it on the marketplace, then press “Mark … as updated”.

When something goes wrong

What VASAH tells you, and what to do.

  • An order says “no listing for … — map it under Marketplaces → Listings”: link that SKU in Listings, then record or accept the order.

  • The counter sold a piece Meesho also sold: record each Meesho order the moment it arrives — its stock is held at once.

  • Meesho shows old quantities: open Marketplaces → Stock to update, download the sheet, upload it on Meesho, then press Mark … as updated.

Good to know

What it does not do.

  • There is no live link with Meesho: orders are recorded by hand, and stock is updated with the sheet.
  • VASAH does not dispatch: you pack and ship, then mark the order dispatched with Meesho's invoice number.
