What you get
What it does for your shop.
Website or back office
Each domain is for your website, or for your back office.
A free certificate
The lock sign comes with it, at no charge.
Two records, then Verify
VASAH shows the exact records to add; Verify does the rest.
Your .vasah.app address too
The address you started with keeps working.
Before you start
What to have ready.
A domain you own and access to its DNS.
Getting ready
Buy the domain if you have not, and make sure you can sign in where its DNS is managed — often the company you bought it from, or Cloudflare.
Choose the name, such as www.yourshop.in or shop.yourshop.in. A name with www. or shop. in front is the simplest to connect.
Only the owner can add a domain, and a shop can have up to 5 web addresses of its own.
- A domain you own, bought from GoDaddy, Cloudflare or any other company
- The login to that domain's DNS settings
- The owner's VASAH login — only the owner can add a domain
Switch it on
Switch it on, step by step.
Get the two records, add them at your domain company, Verify.
Open Settings → Your web address → “+ Add a domain”. Type the domain, choose For: “Storefront (your website)” or “Back office”, and press “Get the DNS records”.
VASAH shows two records: a TXT record named asuid.<your domain>, and a CNAME for a name like www. (or an A record for the bare domain).
At your domain company, open its DNS settings and add both records exactly as shown — copy the Name / Host and the Value. If your DNS is at Cloudflare, turn its proxy off for these records (DNS only).
Back in VASAH, press Verify.
Test it
Check it really works.
Verify, wait for the certificate, open it on a phone.
Press Verify. First you see “Securing the certificate — this usually takes a few minutes…”, then “<your domain> is live and secured.”
The list now shows the domain with “live & secured”. Leaving the page while it secures is fine — it finishes the next time you open Your web address.
Open https:// and your domain on a phone: your website opens with the lock sign. Your .vasah.app address still works too.
When something goes wrong
What VASAH tells you, and what to do.
Records not visible, certificate failed, held by another shop.
“The records aren't visible yet. Add the two shown, give it a few minutes, then verify again.” DNS can take from minutes to a few hours. Check the Name / Host — some DNS pages add your domain to it on their own.
“The certificate could not be issued — check the records match exactly, then verify again.”
“… is another shop's web address on VASAH.”: that name is taken — choose another, or write to VASAH support if it is really yours.
“A shop can have up to 5 web addresses of its own. Remove one to add another.” — or “Use a domain name, not an IP address.”
Good to know
What it does not do.
- Only the owner can add a domain, and a shop can have up to 5 web addresses of its own.
- A name with www. or shop. in front is the simplest to connect.
- If your DNS is at Cloudflare, turn its proxy off for these records.
