What the counter does when cash would be ₹2 lakh or more

Income-tax Act 2025, section 186 (was section 269ST): one person may not pay ₹2 lakh or more in cash in a day — the counter stops it.

- Step 1:
In payment, the cash on this bill is added to the cash this customer paid earlier today.
Press - Step 2:
At ₹2,00,000 or more, a yellow note says how much cash is still allowed, and the bill cannot be saved.
- Step 3:
Lower the cash row to the allowed amount and take the rest by UPI or card with + Split payment.
- Step 4:
Several walk-in cash bills that reach the limit within a short time show a warning too.
